Mortgage Application Checklist

Mortgage Application Checklist

Before you go out and look at dozens of homes, it’s best if you secure a preapproval from a lender. The worst possible situation you can find yourself in, is to find your dream home, only to find out it’s un-obtainable.  It’s best to talk to a lender that can provide you with several different mortgage products available to you and fit best with your current situation and/or circumstances.

I can recommend specific lenders to make contact that have a reputation of getting the job done and that have a proven track record of successfully closing deals. It’s best to consider a lender that is has a local presence, one that has local representation and offices where you know who you are dealing with and is familiar with the area.  Not to mention to be able to speak to the same person, every time you call about something concerning the process. Somewhere you are not just another number, phone call.  Someone that we are familiar with and can assist you with anything and to be able to have face to face meetings with your loan officer, which we highly recommend.

You should call and talk to  2 or 3 different lender’s and find the one that best fit with you,  you personality and one you feel confident with to get you the finish line, closing table and make this a great /positive experience instead of one that takes all the fun out of purchasing a new home for you and your family.  One that can talk with you about different loan products to best fit your and your family’s needs. All lenders will request different documentation on each loan product you decide best fit your current needs.

This list is provided to give you a general idea of what will be required at the time you meet with or fill out your mortgage application online or in person.  Please check with your lender for a complete list of necessary information.
